From the archives – Arkells in Philly and DC

*The first of my ICYMI series. Seeing as how these guys have made the news recently for receiving a spur-of-the-moment invitation by Team Canada to fly to PyeongChang to perform at the Olympics, I thought it’d be appropriate to share this. I had the good fortune to cover Arkells’ east coast shows in November with Pat Gilrane, one of my talented photographer friends. Here’s the end result. The article first appeared in SoundBite Magazine on November 27th, 2017.*

Arkells take U.S. by storm in headline tour

They spent much of the fall and winter of 2016/2017 on the road with Frank Turner and the Sleeping Souls, which saw them accumulate quite a few new fans. After a few summer festival stops and one massive headline show in Niagara Falls, Arkells have snaked their way across the U.S., ending up on the east coast to wrap up this leg of their Knocking at the Door tour.”
